He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Gillard (Schaefer); his children, James L Gillard IV (Lyca) and Chelsi Bowers (Kenton); his granddaughters, Adella Isabel Gillard, Sylvia Bowers and Savine Bowers; his siblings, Margaret Ann Howard (Marv), Tom Gillard (Valerie), Doug Gillard and Paul Gillard; his siblings-in-law, Marcia Gillard, James Williamson (Nancy) and Nicholas P. Schaefer; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Wasilewski (Shana), Tom Wasilewski (Brenda), Kirk, Kate Gillard, Shaunte Staley, Marla, Rick, Laura Gillard, Autumn, Grant Gillard, Dr. Paul Gillard, Kailye Gillard, Danae Gillard Pulaski, Olivia Schaefer, Nicholas Scott Schaefer, Wendy, Jeremy, Jake, Sam and Hannah Williamson.
