He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McDonald and Florence McDonald (Edgerton); his wife Dorothy McDonald (Modert); his children, Jim McDonald and Penney McDonald; his grandson Benjamin McDonald; and his siblings, Robert, Paul McDonald, Miriam Gregory, Marguerite Whitehead and Jean Shutes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jeannie Gayheart and Lucinda "Cindy"; his daughter-in-law Sharon McDonald; his sister Marie Mann; his grandchildren, Minde Abnet (Jerimiah), Joshua McDonald (Jennifer), Daniele Hinkley, Justin Gayheart (Deidre), Jessica Williams (Jon) and Kristopher Barton (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Alyssa, Alaina, Addison, Garrett, Paige, Brayden, Conner, Mackenzie, Eliza, Lillian, Nolan, Adalyn, Eleanor, Caroline and Calvin; and his great great grandchildren, Trace and Tate.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Center Park United Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
