He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gallup and Edna Gallup (Staley); his wife Kay V. Doolittle; and his daughter-in-law Dawn Gallup. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Mertin of Kalamazoo, MI, Jeffrey Gallup of Bronson, MI and Gary Gallup of Tekonsha, MI; and his grandchildren, Zachary Gallup (Lisa) of Hinsdale, IL, Ryan Gallup of Detroit, MI and Jacob Gallup of Bronson, MI.. He is also survived by grandfather to his grandchildren.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Tekonsha First Baptist Church.
