He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis DePew and Ruby DePew (Wade); his wife Shirley Jean; his siblings, Shirley Harrison, H. Ron Knight, Daniel Knight and Frank Knight; and his grandsons, Warren DePew II and Matthew DePew.

He is survived by: his children, David DePew (Diane) of Christiania, PA, Rhonda Hoffman (Donald) of Winlock, WA, Warren DePew of Tekonsha and Michael DePew (Sheri) of Tekonsha; and his siblings, James DePew of Jackson, MI, Alice Luther (Rich) of Watervliet, MI, Ima Lee Worden (Doug) of Riga, MI, Earnie Knight (Barb) of Aiken, SC and Kitty-Rosetta Chase (Leo) of Gulf Shores, AL. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and his many loving nieces and nephews.
