She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Cox and Emma Cox; and her brothers, Mel, Tom, Ray, Kenny, Bill and Joe.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Mickel (Ginger) and Kelly Mickel (Maureen); her grandchildren, Jerry, Mandi, Christian, Riley, Kelly, Brooke, Charlie and Violet; and her sister Sally.

“We are very sorry to hear about Carol's passing. We loved her for many years as a big part of our family. We cherished her friendship and appreciated her unique sense of humor. She always made us feel at home when we visited Michigan. We spent many hours on the deck talking about her family which her was so proud of. She will be missed, and we are sorry that this is the way everything ended. We will have a Mass said for her at our church. May her soul rest in the palm of God's hand.”
