He was predeceased by: his parents, Soloman Mackey and Hannah Mackey (Andersen); his wife Kathleen Ada "Kitty" Gorman; his grandchildren, Jennifer LaRose and James Hickok; and his siblings, Bernard, Rudolph, Elsie and Elinor.
He is survived by: his children, Suzette Hickok of Swartz Creek, Edward Mackey of Shelby Township and Norma Barr (Dennis) of Swartz Creek; his grandchildren, Susan Hickok of Colorado, Gregory Mackey of Shelby Township, Christopher Barr of Swartz Creek, Jason Barr (Lindsay) of Florida, Jennifer Allison (Robert) of Gaines and Kaitlin Barr; his great grandchildren, Kirstin, Jared, Jenna, Taylor, Gavin, Isabella, Conner, Samuel and Bennett; and his great great grandchildren, Jordan, Jackson and Aubree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
