He was predeceased by: his parents, Randall Whitcomb and Lucile Whitcomb (Hillyer); his son Brian Lynn Whitcomb; his grandsons, Corey Whitcomb and Max Taulbee; and his siblings, Virginia Fisher and Jerry Whitcomb.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Lea Pierson; his children, Lynette Taulbee (Jim) of Stanton, Vaughn Whitcomb (Karen) of Sturgis and Myron Whitcomb (Joanne) of Sturgis; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, Kimberly, Nick, Hailey, Korbin and Korin. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
