With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leland M. Harris of Stanwood, Michigan, born in Morley, Michigan, who passed away on December 4, 2020 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Harris and Stella Harris (Graves); his siblings, Clarence "Bud", Orve "Red", Bernice Sorum, Lillian Harris and Rita "Punk" Stewart; and his daughter LaVonne Sheldon.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Cooley; his children, Bill (Cheryl), Leland (Melissa), Melvin (Tammy), Lynette Harris, Janette Parks (Kyle), Jodie Harris, Rhonda Dunn (Mark) and Brenda Whipple (Dan); and his brothers, Ron and Ralph "Whitey" (Joann). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family will greet friends while following the government guidelines, please social distance, wear a mask, and 20 people will be allowed in at a time, from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
