With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stanley Eugene Rhew Sr. of Sparta, Michigan, who passed away on May 16, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bethel Rhew and Bertha Rhew (Johnson); his former wife Mary Rhew (Fox); his daughter Jeannine Mackey; his daughter-in-law Roberta Whalen; and his son William Whalen.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Rhew (Whalen); his children, Stanley Rhew, Jr. (Cindy), Thomas B. Rhew, Richard Whalen, Jr., Steven Whalen (Roxie) and Robert Whalen (Lori); his daughter-in-law Therese Whalen; and his brothers, Hawley Rhew (Lucille) and Richard Rhew (Mary). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health/ Corewell Hospice.
