Richard Verne Sovereign Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Verne Sovereign of Sparta, Michigan, born in Rockford, Michigan, who passed away on November 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sovereign and Frieda Sovereign (Hagbom); his granddaughter Angela Booth; his great grandchildren, Alexis and Allison; his son-in-law Dale Anderson; his brother Robert (Margaret Sovereign); his brothers-in-law, Ronald Bennett and Carl (Kathleen Tower); and his aunt Anne Shogren.

He is survived by: his friends, Algoma Baptist Church and Sheridan Sovereign; his wife Joan Sovereign (Tower); his children, Scott, Karen Jo Sovereign, Laurie and Doug Piccard; and his sister Sandra Bennett. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hosptial Chicago or Faith Bible Church.
