With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard M. Thome of Sparta, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on February 6, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Sally; and his siblings, Walter, Erwin, Don, Bob and Dolores.

He is survived by: his brother Joe (MaryAnn); his sons, Rich of Sparta Michigan and Bruce; his daughter-in-law Jennifer of Avon Indiana; his daughter Nancy; his son-in-law William Middelaer of Connecticut; and his grandchildren, Nick and Kaylyn Thome.
