It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Czuhai Barr of Sparta, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Czuhai and Scholastyka Czuhai; her husband Albert Barr; her children, Edwin Barr, Clifford Barr and Mary Ann Barr; her children-in-law, Evelyn Barr and Carl Lambert Friske; and her siblings, Valaria Grescuk, Thomas Grescuk, Stanley Grescuk, Stella Griffith, Lucy Spies, Ruth Danhof, Daniel Czuhai, Eugene Czuhai, Vera Czuhai, Mearl Czuhai, George Czuhai and David Czuhai.
She is survived by: her children, Nellie Barr Friske, Nancy Erickson (Kenneth), Charles Barr (Kathi) and Valerie Heyt (David); her daughter-in-law Margie Barr; and her siblings, Anita Phillips and Monte Czuhai (Nanci). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
