He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carey and Consuelo Carey. He is survived by: his wife Michelle; his children, Jennifer Campos (Idilio), James Carey (Jamie) and Ryan Hawkins (Sarah); his grandchildren, Isabella, Klay and Antonio; and his sisters, Mavis Stout (Jim) and Sue Mitchell (Tim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
