He was predeceased by: his parents, Waino Laitila and Lydia Laitila (Lambert); his former wife Janet McLean; his wife Preceding; his son Jeffrey; and his brother Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Pyykkonen (Milton) of Painesdale and Mark Laitila of South Range. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
