She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Smith (Sontag) and Ernest Smith. She is survived by: her husband Gilbert C. Jillson; her grandchildren, Ann Jillson, Charlie Jillson (Ashley), Derrick Ricca (Jamie) and Stephanie Ricca; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Brody, Jamison, Delaney, Mia and Graham; and her siblings, Margaret Andrews, Patricia Lockwood and Bob "Smitty" Smith. She is also survived by sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to Al Van Humane Society - PO Box 421, South Haven, Michigan or contributions can be made to St Basil's endowment fund.

“I was brokenhearted when I heard that Shirley-Mom had passed away. Struggling with a stroke is hard and I hated to have her feeling that way. But to pass away was way more difficult though it hurts so many of us that knew her well. At least she can be with her Gilbert now. That should be a fine reunion! Shirley takes with her the Love of so many and the fun so many had when we were with her. May God hold her closely and look deep into her eyes and may she bat her eyes and blow him a kiss.”
