He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben William Chivis and Anna Grace Malazzo (Malazzo); and his sister Christine Ann Lanning. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Chivis (Grogan); his sister Rosemarie TePastte (Joel); his brother-in-law Rodney Lanning; his stepsons, Steve Grogan and Richard Davis; and his nieces and nephews, Sara R. Moore, Heather TePastte Baumgartner, Eric Joel TePastte, Devyn B. TePastte and Scott A. Lanning.
