With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice A. VanDyken of Schoolcraft, Michigan, born in Niles, Michigan, who passed away on August 7, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Akin and Anna Akin (Tharp); and her brother Dennis Akin. She is survived by: her husband James F. VanDyken; her children, James E. VanDyken (Heather) and Jill VanDyken Hunt (Mark); and her grandchildren, Jason, Justin VanDyken, Sienna and Jamison Hunt.
