He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Smith and Joanna Smith (Vliek); his wife Judy; his son Greg; and his brother-in-law William Jackson.
He is survived by: his former spouse Judyth K. Linders; his sons, Gregory, Jeffrey Smith and Brian Smith (Nicole); his grandsons, Nathan, Tyler and Jack; and his siblings, Shirley Jackson and John Smith (Jan). He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a small grave side memorial and entombment is being planned for the immediate family due to the current state and restrictions of Covid-19.
