She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Meyer and Marie Meyer; and her siblings, Marianne, Joan, Carol and Chuck Meyer.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Smith (Roz), Julie McElmurry (Tom), Brendan Smith (Julie) and Brad Smith (Alli); her grandchildren, Tara McElmurry, Colleen Rybolt (Mike), Nathan Smith (Paige), McKenna Smith (Rocco), Leah Smith and Parker Smith; and her great grandchild Cameron Smith. She is also survived by child of her family, but arguably never a true child.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Shedd Aquarium or Saline Area Social Service.
