He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kabat; his stepchildren, Mary Ann Welch (William), Jeffrey Kabat (Yoon Hea), Nancy Heaton (William) and David Kabat (Sue); his siblings, Geoffrey (Joan), Diane and John (Karen); and also Jan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
