He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Young and Hela Young (Anderson); his son Christopher; and his brother Stephen. He is survived by: his wife Margaret K. Egeler. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He had previously worked in Chicago for The Great Books Foundation.
