She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Grace Montez (Reyes); her siblings, David, Robert and Diana Lynn Montez; and her niece Katelynn Montez.
She is survived by: her husband Nicolas Gamez Zapata; her children, Adriana Cabanas Villegas (Paul) of Crystal, MI and Adan Zapata (Ashley Gomez) of Shepherd, MI; her grandchildren, Diego, Natalia, Gonzalo, Valentin, Paulina, Esmeralda, Xavier, Santos and Emiliano; and her niece Aubrey Montez-Elizarraraz (Pepe Juarez).
