He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Duane Stanton and Whitney Aerial Gilbert (Modlin); his brother Joseph Stanton; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Dawn Kilts.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Rae Stanton (Kilts); his children, Brandy (Joshua Kapka), Amy Gaunt and Richard (Adrienne Kilts); his grandchildren, Cameron Kapka of Brayden Schneider, A. J, Kayden Kapka, Raylan Kapka, Briana Kilts and Layla Kilts; his siblings, James (Michelle Stanton), Joy (Paul Reeser), Debra Stanton and Melissa Stanton; his sister-in-law Terri (Zachary LeBlanc); and his stepmother Edeltraud Marx. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors (4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (950 N Center Rd, Saginaw, MI 48638).
