He was predeceased by: his mother Peggy Lerma (Wheatley); his stepmother Debra; his siblings, Teri Lerma, Peggy Lerma and Mark Wheatley; and his grandparents, Ada, Gibson Wheatley, Henry and Lydia Lerma.
He is survived by: his father Philip Lerma; his children, Natalie Weed (Fortner) of Mt. Pleasant, Trevor Lerma of Mt. Pleasant, Ada Lerma of Mt. Pleasant and Anthony Lerma (Abigail Schafer) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Isabell Lerma, Aliana Lerma, Luca Lerma and Grace Lerma; and his brothers, Christopher Lerma of Mt. Pleasant and Robert Lerma (Rachel Kratz) of Mt. Pleasant.
