She was predeceased by: her husband Louis; her daughters, Diane Mayer and Mary Alice; her grandsons, Stephen and Ryan Mayer; and her brothers, Bob, Kip, Bud and Dick Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Heth (John), Jay Schemmel (Patricia), David Schemmel (Jayne) and Thomas Schemmel (Kimberly); her siblings, Dr. Gerald Nelson, Wayne Nelson, James Nelson and Scena Proodian; her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Nelson and Linda Nelson; and also Dr. Philip Mayer. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
