He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Godfrey and Mary Godfrey; and his siblings, Perry Godfrey, Phil Godfrey, Margaret McAleese and Patricia Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Lynn Stonecipher (Gilbert), Deanna Verbanic (Bart) and Patrick Godfrey; his grandchildren, Marylynn (Bruce), Ryan, Sydney, Aiden and Lou; and his siblings, Pamela Godfrey, Priscilla Paris, Donald Godfrey and Paul Godfrey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
