He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson L. Murphy and Ellen Murphy (Malone); and his siblings, James Murphy and Mary Manning (Murphy). He is survived by: his wife Sally Murphy (Gilbert); his children, Leslie Murphy, Patrick Murphy (Stephanie), Todd Murphy (Leigh) and Lindsey Kirk (John); his grandchildren, Monica, Patrick, Meagan, Mallory, Sydney, Erin (Josh), Taylor, Emily, Ian (Samantha), Sean, Mollie, Chase, Lecia and Madison; and his sister Joann Morris (Murphy) of North Carolina. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
