He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Cloherty (Lovett) and Patrick Cloherty; his son Gerard Jr.; and his brother Patrick "Paddy" Cloherty. He is survived by: his children, JoAnn (Fox), Susan (Holzberger), Thomas Cloherty (Heather), Kathryn Gross (Cody) and Judy Mayfield; his sister Maureen McGrath (Dave); his grandchildren, Gannon, DJ, Connor, Harry, Mason, Ellie, Justin and Dylan; and his nieces, Helen and Sheila.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ada.
