He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Donna Shemanski Sr. (VanSickle); and his stepfather Royal Copeland. He is survived by: his wife PJ; his children, Megan Venema (Matt) and Scott Short (Casie); his grandchildren, Logan, Christian and Chloe; and his sister Marilyn Miles (Fred). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
