He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Burns and Alice Burns (McKrill); his siblings, Stephen Burns (Arlene), Franklin Burns, Robert Burns (Delores), Bertha Kent (Art), Bernice Schneider (Maurice), Ruth Middleton (Rex), Barbara Skelonc (Martin) and Alice Catherine "Kay" Hallock (Phillip); his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Geneva Tatro; his brother-in-law Carl Thomas; his daughter Nancy Marshall; his stepson Carey Zoet; and his grandson Dalton Mazie.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Burns (Tatro); his children, Linda Stark, Mary Mazie (Ken), Chris Zoet (Dianne Ring) and Steve Zoet (Kimberly); his sister Janet Harris (Paul); and his sisters-in-law, Jodie Burns, Marilyn Hull, Carol Thomas and Julie Kindle (Ron). He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
