He was predeceased by: his parents, Lauri Ranta and Aili Ranta (Laitinen); and his granddaughter Abigail Reutter. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ranta (Cayer) of Rock; his children, Jimmers Ranta (Jade) of Rapid River, Brenda Reutter (Don) of Milan, MI and Kimberly Bowers (Mike) of Milan, MI; his grandchildren, Bryce Ranta of Menominee, MI, Aaron and Ashley Reutter of Milan, MI; and his siblings, Marvin Ranta (Gloria) of Lexington Park, MD, Kenneth Ranta of Excelsior Springs, MO and Ruth Lund (Jim) of Rock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
