He was predeceased by: his father Desmond Stern; and his brother Robert Stern. He is survived by: his wife Ellen K. Bosman-Suess; his children, Debbie Goetz (Mark) and Kyle Stern (Angela); his stepchildren, Jeffery Suess (Christine), Marlana Suess, Jennifer Kotas (Brian), Nate Suess and Eric Suess (Jackie); and his siblings, Brenda (Tom), Judy, Ruthann (John), Richard Stern (Mary) and Martha (Terry). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
