He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sproul and Elizabeth Sproul (Detvay); and his siblings, Robert Sproul, Charles Sproul, Katherine Drialo and Betty Minghini.

He is survived by: his siblings, William Sproul (Marge) and Agnes Witt; his daughters, Jennifer Sproul (George Armenio) and Janine Moscone (Anthony); his grandchildren, Nicolas (Abigail), Julianna, Alessandra and Giovanni Moscone; and his former wife Juliann. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
