He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Peabody and Bessie Peabody (Smith); his wife Bonnie; and his siblings, Marion Pieczewski, Lawrence Peabody (Jeannie) and Robert Peabody (Janet).
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Townsend (Jim), Karen Collins and Brian Peabody; his granddaughter Amber Koenigsknecht (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Becky Sriver, Ryan Townsend (Jon), Theresa Townsend, Andrew Townsend and Shelli Ludwick (Craig); and also Noah Townsend.
