It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Felix Hernandez Jr. of Portland, Michigan, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix and Maria Luisa Hernandez, Sr. (Castro); his wife Minerva "Minnie"; and his siblings, Roy Hernandez (Sara), Virginia Luna, Carlos Hernandez (Rose) and Gloria Borton (Dave).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jane Hoppes (Ken) of Portland, Sylvia Moore (Tom) of Riverview and Felix Hernandez, III (Patricia) of Kentucky; his granddaughters, Desiree Holley (Doyce) and Jessica Latva (Rob); his great grandchildren, Dylan Holley, Adriana Holley, Jameson Latva and Jaxson Latva; his brother-in-law Rafael Sandoval; and his close friends, Laura, Barney Linebaugh and Judy Huhn.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with the rosary being prayed at 3:30 p.m. For those wishing, contributions may be made to Sparrow Hospice in memory of Felix.
