He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kavanagh and Patricia Kavanagh (Cook); his wife Yolanda Kavanagh (Benjamin); his son Dennis Kavanagh; his brother Joseph Kavanagh; and his brother-in-law Bill Piggott.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Kavanagh (Cheryl Visscher) of Freemont, Peggy Moczul (Hank) of Bellaire, Barbara Kavanagh of Portland, William Kavanagh (Pamela) of Portland and Mike Kavanagh (Lisa) of Grand Rapids; his daughter-in-law Ruth Kavanagh; his sisters, Alice Piggott and Carol Caroen (Jack); and his sister-in-law Marie Kavanagh. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
