He was predeceased by: his parents, Naubat Rai and Shakuntala Devi Sood. He is survived by: his wife Vijay Sud; his daughters, Sandhya Sood and Anu Allington (Anna); and his grandchildren, Julia, Claire, Liam, Adeline and Avianna. He is also survived by his siblings in India; several nieces and nephews.
