He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Broekhuizen and Mabel Broekhuizen (Heuseveldt); and his brother Richard Broekhuizen. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Witsmeer); his sons, Dan Broekhuizen (Helen), Keith Broekhuizen (Joanne) and Eric Broekhuizen (Kim); his grandchildren, Joshua, Renee, Micah, Nathan, Genevieve, Jake and Aly; and his siblings, Marilyn DeYong (Clarence) and Tom Broekhuizen (Cherie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Christian Schools or Heritage Christian Reformed Church.
