He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Willoughby (Smith); his children, Benjamin, Samuel and Erin; his father James Willoughby (Deborah Search); his siblings, Debora Karnemaat (Richard), Scott Willoughby (Yulia) and Mark Willoughby (Tina Newhauser); his brother-in-law David Smith; his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Nathan, Zack, Sean, Sofia and Maddy; and also, Susan and Eric Smith.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to an education fund for the children, the Vicksburg Bands Big Red Machine or to the Kalamazoo Nature Center.
