He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his children, Krista Schaafsma (Tim), Jim Vermeulen (Nancy) and Ken Vermeulen (Shelly); his grandchildren, Allison (Chris), Becky (Jason), Libby (Justin), Ross (Rumi), Alden (Mary), Mieke (Aaron), Derek (Jen), Kyle (Richenda), Alissa Morgan (Raimundo) and Sarah; and his siblings, Casey, Gertrude and Elaine.
