He was predeceased by: his brother David Loftis. He is survived by: his parent John H.; his spouse Nancy Hepburn; his mother Audrey Loftis of Pinckney; his children, Michael Pinter of Chelsea, Damon Pinter (Melissa) of Clinton and Kristy Pinter (Phillip) of Ida; and his sister Linda Loftis of Pinckney. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family or the First Congregational Church of Chelsea.
