He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alice Willet, Howard Murphy, Jean Huff and William Murphy. He is survived by: his parents, James C. and Martha S. Murphy (Shepard); his spouse Joyce Ann Murphy (Ellyson); his children, Fredie Murphy (Kay) of Cohoctah, Juanita "Jo" Hunt (Charles) of Pinckney, Karen Field of Brighton and Michael Murphy of Howell; and his siblings, Harold Murphy (Josie) of Brighton, Floyd Murphy and Ruth Fletcher (Ralph). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
