He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Leiter and Dorothy Leiter (Jar); and his former wife Anna (Hatchew). He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Leiter (Jensen); his siblings, Arlene and Harry; his children, Brad Leiter (Jaane) and Tammy Pierce (Leiter); his stepson Curtis Ryno (Amy); and his adoptive children, Christian, Kahner, Heaven and Dagues. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to Howard City Funeral & Cremation Services to assist with funeral expenses.
