Gerrit DeGraaf Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2022, at the age of 104, Gerrit DeGraaf of Paw Paw, Michigan, born in Holland, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert DeGraaf and Petronella DeGraaf (Brasser); and his siblings, Jacoba VanderBor, Evert DeGraff Jr., Ann Daisy, Alice DeGraaf, John DeGraaf, Dora Reits and Gertrude DeGraaf.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Simmons, Greg DeGraaf, Patti Ledbetter (James), Gale Powell and Laura Spars; his grandchildren, Joseph DeGraaf, Gordon Roscoe, Danielle Simmons (John), Bradley Ledbetter, Chelsey Powell, Ashley Powell-Bejarano (Andres), Joshua, Jamie, Jacob and Lucas Spars; and his great grandchildren, Salinger and Gerrit Simmons. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorial contributions may be given to the ASPCA or the Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries, c/o the funeral home.
