He was predeceased by: his sister Linda Jablonski (Richard); and his parents, Harold Campbell and Marian Campbell (Beaupre) of Grosse Pointe. He is survived by: his spouse Margy; his children, Kathleen Mermiges (Demetrios M. D.), Karen Romkema of Clarkston, Kristen Suran (Michael) of Ortonville, Richard Campbell (Nichole) of Ortonville and Gary Campbell (Chasity) of Grand Blanc; and his siblings, Thomas Campbell (Jill) of Grosse Ile, William Campbell (Joanne) of Florida and Judith Starrs (late Michael) of Grosse Pointe. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many loving extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Our Lady of the Lakes Tuition Angels or Athletic Fund.
