With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorotha Dowding of Onondaga, Michigan, born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 23, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas "Gene" and Anna "Ethel" Petty (Vinson); her husband Orville "Chuck" Dowding; her son Randall Dowding; her grandson Richard Dowding II; and her siblings, Evelyn Petty, Jean Thompson and Donald Petty.
She is survived by: her children, Sharyn Cahill (Thomas) of Rives Junction, Lynda Gokay (William) of Pleasant Lake and Richard Dowding of Onondaga; and her daughter-in-law Cindy Dowding of Lake, MI. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
