He is survived by: his children, Jack Hillis (Krista) of Maryland, Lee Doss (Warren) of Port Huron, Daniel Hillis (Lauren) of Port Huron, Jon Hillis (Julie) of Fresno, Brandy Warner (James) of Imlay City, Dennis Hillis of Onaway and Kimberly Hillis of Onaway; his grandchildren, Braden, Brian, Christopher, Ethan, Liam, Brendan, Jackson, Silas, Ember, Damon, Braydon, James Jr. and Kali; and his great grandchild Amoni. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
