He is survived by: his parents, Jack Newsted and Mabel Newsted (Rose); his wife Rebecca; his son Kirk Carl Newsted, Jr. of Onaway; and his pets, Happy and Lucky. He is also survived by his sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
