She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth McMurtrie (Thorpe) and Vance I. McMurtrie; and her siblings, Mary, Donald and Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband Neil T. Cortright; her children, Ronald Cortright (Brenda), Teresa Schneider (Jerry), Rebecca Cortright-Brown and Pamela Sawatzki (Eric); and her brother Duane McMurtrie.
