He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Johnston (Jaces) and Fedro Blair; his stepfather Fred Johnston; his sister Beverly Costanzo; and his brother-in-law Dennis Kurowski.
He is survived by: his daughter Jamie McGrath; the mother of his child Kathryn McGrath; his son Christopher A. Johnston (Jean-Marie); his grandsons, Scott A. Johnston (Kellie) and Billy Johnston; his sisters, Sally Kurowski and Peggy Thomas (Tim); his brother-in-law Gus Costanzo; and his nieces and nephews, Suzanne Nall, Jay Kurowski (Lauren Rotondo), Scott Kurowski (Amber), Vicki Lawrence (Bill) and Kim Boyes (Dave).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Martha Parish, Capital Area Humane Society, The Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, or a veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
